An NSWA member since 2011, it is our pleasure to name Nick Powell as Chairman of the NSWA Board of Directors.
Mr. Powell is the majority shareholder and Chairman of Colt Energy, Inc., which he purchased in 1986. Prior to purchasing Colt, Mr. Powell was the manager of Overland Energy, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of YRC Corporation, and engaged in investment in oil and gas exploration and production.
Colt Energy is engaged in oil and gas exploration, development, and production and gas gathering in eastern Kansas. It owns and operates over 150 producing oil and gas leases throughout the region and employs thirty-five full-time field, office, and management personnel.
Mr. Powell is a past president and current board member of the Eastern Kansas Oil and Gas Association and is a past chairman and current board member of the Kansas Independent Oil and Gas Association.
Mr. Powell received his B.A. in Economics from Tulane University in New Orleans in 1975. He currently resides in Mission Hills, Kansas.
Welcome Stacee Dover
Stacee Dover began her full-time career in the oil & gas industry in 1994.
She is the Crude Sourcing Manager for CountryMark Refining and Logistics, LLC whose refinery is located in the heart of the IL Basin. She services over 700 independent oil producers to bring IL Basin production to CountryMark’s 34,000 bpd refinery. Dover also manages pipeline crude purchases from Cushing, Guernsey and the Bakken.

Welcome Justin McClelland
Justin McClelland is the Land Manager for Abo Petroleum, LLC. Justin joined Abo in
January of 2016 shortly before their merger with EOG Resources, Inc. in October of 2016. Prior to that Justin performed all the various facets of contract land work from 2007 until the time that he joined Abo.
McClelland is a Registered Professional Landman and received a BBA from
Eastern New Mexico University in 2007. Since the merger in 2016, Justin has helped amass a large diverse portfolio of interests in various states but the large majority of those interests are in New Mexico.
