How long have you been a member of NSWA?
Darlene Wallace has been a member of NSWA since 2007. She served as NSWA Chairman from 2016-2020.

When did you begin your career in the oil industry?
Darlene’s career in the oil industry began in 2004 after the passing of her husband left her the majority of stock in his small oil business he had started in 1971. She had not been active in the business but, with the help of loyal and long-term employees, learned the industry.
Tell us about your company.
Columbus Oil Company is an operation and production company. It currently manages wells in Seminole and Pottawatomie counties. Columbus Oil does not currently drill for new production but re-opens old abandoned wells, making them viable again. All wells operated by Columbus Oil are marginal/stripper wells.
Tell us about your family.
Darlene has a daughter Whitney and son-in-law Clinton, along with 3 grandchildren, William, Finley and Eva. They live in Wichita, KS and Darlene loves and adores them all dearly!
Darlene’s Hobbies:
West Coast Swing and country-western dancing, gardening, and traveling stateside & abroad.
Have you been a part of other associations or non-profits?
Since 2005, Darlene has been active in promoting, preserving and protecting the American oil industry. She has gone to Washington, DC many times over the years to lobby for oil and gas causes for NSWA and the Domestic Energy Producers Alliance. She also actively lobbies for the Oklahoma Energy Producers Alliance at the Oklahoma Capital.
Darlene currently serves:
- Oklahoma Energy Producers Alliance (OEPA) Board of Directors since 2016, where she is also the Public Relations/Education Committee Chair.
- Domestic Energy Producers Alliance (DEPA) Board of Directors and has been since their inception in 2009.
Darlene previously served:
- Chairman of the National Stripper Well Association (NSWA) from 2016-2020.
- Member of the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association (OIPA) from 2004-2017 and served for 9 of those years on the Crude Oil, Legislative and Federal Committees. She also sat on the OIPA Board of Directors from 2009-2017.
