A voice for 600,000 California royalty owners

Ed Hazard | Bakersfield.com

NARO-California is now proud to announce that we will be holding our First Annual State Convention at the Sheraton Grand in Sacramento on May 19-20. For this first-time event, we are reducing the cost of registration – NARO-CA Members may attend free-of-charge, with nonmember registration at $50.

This important event provides royalty owners access to important educational opportunities, statewide advocacy efforts and the ability to learn more about California production policies and regulation. Attendees will learn about managing their mineral holdings in the increasingly-challenging environment in which they operate. In addition to educational workshops, registrants will hear presentations from industry and government thought leaders on the current regulatory and economic environment, better equipping them to face unpredictable future developments with increased confidence.

The convention will kick off with a session featuring California State Senator Jean Fuller, R-Bakersfield, Cathy Reheis-Boyd, president of the Western States Petroleum Association, Rock Zeirman, CEO of the California Independent Petroleum Association, Les Clark, Executive VP of the Independent Oil Producers Agency and national NARO Executive Director, Jerry Simmons speaking about the important role advocacy plays in supporting California’s petroleum industry. Participants will experience a full day of advocacy briefings and legislative updates from NARO and groups such as the National Stripper Well Association and others. On Friday, the conference will focus on educational workshops geared toward mineral rights’ owners in California such as property leasing, valuation of mineral rights and estate planning. Full Story
