Oklahoma approves fracking disclosure rules

Oklahoma oil and natural gas producers will have to disclose the chemicals used in their hydraulic fracturing operations under new rules set to go into effect July 1
State lawmakers and Gov. Mary Fallin signed off this month on the rules, which were approved by the Oklahoma Corporation Commission in March.
Lori Wrotenbery, director of the Corporation Commission’s oil and gas conservation division, said there was very little discussion of the new rules after they were passed along to the Legislature.
